Golf Equipment
Golf club covers, commonly known as headcovers, first appeared in the early 20th century as a practical way to protect wooden club heads, particularly the delicate persimmon woods, from damage during transport and play. Initially made by hand from wool or leather, these covers also helped reduce the noise of clubs clattering together in the bag. Over time, headcovers transitioned from purely functional items to a means of personal expression, often reflecting a golfer’s style, heritage, or sense of humor. Today, while the materials and designs have become more diverse, their primary purpose remains the same: to preserve the condition and longevity of cherished golf clubs.
